Kelsey Plum #allin Meet n Greet at Findlay Volkswagen

Saturday, October 8, 2022 –  Findlay VW Henderson recently had the privilege of hosting its official  #allin Meet n Greet with the WNBA’s 2022 All-Star MVP, Kelsey Plum. In partnership with ESPN Las Vegas, a Lotus Broadcasting station, the event provided an opportunity for her biggest fans to meet the Las Vegas Aces point guard, grab her autograph and photos, and enjoy the company and comradery of basketball fans from around the Valley.

In 2021, Findlay VW and Kelsey Plum teamed up as she got into the newly released 2021 Volkswagen Arteon, a luxury car Volkswagen deems “a work of art”. Working with Kelsey was an obvious choice for the store, as her work ethic, service to others, commitment to her sport and her team, and dedication she has to her fan base are characteristics that Findlay VW seeks in any collaboration. 

The Meet n Greet, planned since the beginning of the partnership and coming shortly after the Las Vegas Aces 2022 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup and WNBA Championship win, had an original RSVP of 150 attendees. Plum and the team at Findlay VW were astounded and humbled when over 500 fans lined up around the building. As the line grew, vendors started handing out food, drinks, and treats, and the Meet n Greet hit the ground running. The store’s entire team jumped into action to make sure that all those waiting in line were comfortable, hydrated, and informed.

When asked about the extra effort from the team, sales representative, Arjay S. Q. said “Taking care of others and putting our utmost effort into any interaction we have is what we do; whether it’s a greeting, selling a car, or at an event like this, we are committed to making sure everyone has a great time. We work with purpose and try to be good stewards of our community. It is not only a part of the culture at Findlay VW, but also just the right thing to do.”

A fan commented “The entire staff was SOOO amazing. It’s not often that you experience such grace from an entire staff, thank you. The event was absolutely amazing, I can’t wait to support another one of your events!”

While the Findlay VW staff, ESPN Las Vegas and supporting vendors made sure logistics were in place, the success of the event was in large part thanks to Kelsey Plum herself, who went above and beyond for her fans. Not only did she sign swag and smile for photos, but she also jumped on videos to wish virtual fans “happy birthdays” and “congrats”, held babies and pets for special pictures, and even stayed an additional 90 minutes to ensure no fan left disappointed.  

Plum’s dedication to her fans did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. 

Doris B., a fan and member of the local Lady Aces Fan Page said “Awesome player! I wish all players were like her. She loves and appreciates her fans. Great job, Kelsey!”

Laurie P, also a member of the Facebook group, added “I love how engaged she was with each and every fan!”

At the end of the day, the success of the #allin Meet N Greet with Kelsey Plum would not have been possible without the support from the community and local businesses. ESPN Las Vegas was live on site and broadcasted the event while also providing pre-event support. West Star, Port of Subs, Buffalo Wild Wings, Stephano’s Greek and Mediterranean Grill, and I Heart Mac & Cheese provided food and additional helping hands, while Raising Canes greeted guests and handed out sweet tea and lemonade. All supporting staff asked to send out a big “thank you” to the community, the fans, and of course, Kelsey Plum herself, who is a role model to all women and young girls, as well as basketball fans and supporters from around the city.
