“Drive like there’s a tomorrow” Earth Day 2023 with Findlay VW

Findlay Volkswagen of Henderson, along with the support of Sam & Ash Injury Law, hosted a 2023 Earth Day Cleanup this past Saturday, April 22nd in the Arts District of DTLV. Over 100 people showed up to help beautify our community, collecting over 120 bags of garbage from the city streets. The theme for this year’s cleanup was “Drive like there’s a tomorrow”. The group met at the Sam & Ash parking lot and dispersed from there, targeting small parks, medians and small business roads and alleyways. The dealership provided the equipment necessary for the community to participate.

Carnell Johnson, Marketing Coordinator at Findlay VW Henderson, says “Community cleanups don’t only help beautify our city, they also bring people together. This year we had some great companies come out and represent, including groups with the UNLV Student Union, Amazon, Canada Goose, Old Navy/Gap, Target, Allegiant Air, and St. Jude’s Ranch, and more.

From here, we want to continue the cleanup efforts and get behind the dealership’s message of “Drive [and live| like there’s a tomorrow”. Our next organized cleanup will be in the fall, but in the meantime, we want to encourage anyone needing assistance in their own cleanup efforts to reach out to us; we would love to help!”

In the spirit of the targeted cleanup location, the Art District, all participants joined in on painting a large group mural, which can now be seen on the wall at the Findlay Volkswagen dealership in Henderson.
