What VW Models Will Get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have sparked excitement throughout the automotive and tech world since it was first revealed that such interfaces would be developed for smartphone users. Finally, Volkswagen has announced that the time has come to rollout the new MIB II infotainment system, which will come loaded with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. But what VW models will get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay?

Volkswagen has said that the MIB II infotainment system will be available later this year in most 2016 Volkswagen products. The only 2016 models not receiving the new infotainment system are the Eos, which Volkswagen says will have a short production run, and the Touareg. Therefore, Volkswagen drivers can expect to find the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay platforms in 2016 models of the Jetta, Passat, CC, Beetle, Golf family and Tiguan.

Can you get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on 2015 Volkswagen models?
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay allow for smartphone integration and control through an intuitive interface. Though drivers of 2016 models have a lot to be excited about, what about drivers of 2015 Volkswagen models?

Based on the information provided so far, it sounds as though Apple CarPlay and Android Auto only come with the new MIB II infotainment system, which is newly available only on 2016 VW models.
