Pumpkin Picassos

When: Saturday, October 21 – 10:00-11:30am

Where: Whitney Ranch Recreation Center

Carving a pumpkin is fun and all, but it’s also a lot of hard work. Between carving, gutting, and cleanup, pumpkins aren’t the easiest way to celebrate Halloween. That’s why some people paint them instead! Join some fellow makeshift artists, between ages 4 and 12, as they decorate their pumpkins a quicker, tidier, and safer fashion. Tickets for this event are $5 each.

Trunk or Treat

When: Thursday, October 26 – 6:00-8:30pm

Where: Black Mountain Recreation Center

Car lovers and candy lovers unite for Trunk or Treat 2017! As the name of the event suggests, the main activity here is trick or treating from trunks of Halloween-themed cars. In addition, there is also a costume contest, various activities, and entertainment, too! Advance registration is $3 and admission at the event is $5. All ages are welcome, and parents and guardians can accompany children free of charge.

Haunted at the Ranch

When: Friday and Saturday, October 27-28 – 6:00-9:00pm

Where: Whitney Ranch Recreation Center

This Halloween extravaganza features bounce houses, carnival games, a trick-or-treat trail, and much more! Test your fortitude with a goosebumps-inducing tour of the haunted house, or maybe a visit of the less scary haunted house intended for children. Don’t worry, adults are allowed into the less scary option, too; not everyone can be as brave as the big kids. Admission is $7 per day, and advance registration is encouraged. All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
