Things to Do to Celebrate Thanksgiving 2016 in Henderson NV

Charlie Brown’s annual Thanksgiving dinner is back, with all kinds of good snack foods like popcorn, jelly beans and pretzels, which can be enjoyed while watching the A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie. On top of all that, there will be bounce houses and Thanksgiving crafts. That said, you’ll need to register by Nov. 16. The event is happening on Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center for ages 5 – 10 years.

Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament

The inaugural Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament is happening Nov. 25 – 26 for those age 18 and over. Divisions will consist of men’s 5 vs 5 teams, and co-rec 6 vs 6 teams, with a three game guarantee. The cost per team is $150, and you’ll need to register by Nov. 22. It all takes place at the Russell Road Recreation Complex here in Henderson.

Henderson and Las Vegas Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving 2016

If you don’t plan on cooking, another great way to celebrate the holiday is by going out to dinner. 2016 Cranberry Slam Pickleball Classic

Though this two-day tournament takes place after Thanksgiving, on Nov. 25 and Nov. 26, it’s still a great way to enjoy your holiday time. If you don’t know what pickleball is, it’s essentially a combination of ping-pong, tennis and badminton. If you wish to participate in this friendly tournament at the Whitney Mesa Tennis Complex, you must be 18 and over to register and pay a registration fee of $10 plus a $5 event fee.
