Different Ways to Build a 2018 Golf
For the 2018 production year, the Volkswagen Golf is available in two trim levels – S and SE. While the features do vary a bit between them, they do share one standard 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that achieves 170 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque. All of the energy can be controlled by your choice of either the default five-speed manual transmission (5MT) or—in its place—an available six-speed automatic transmission (6AT). With two trims and two transmissions for each of them, the 2018 Volkswagen Golf has four total configurations.
